'Welcome to Chelsea!' - The Blues fans getting excited amid Jadon Sancho transfer update

Jadon Sancho has got some Chelsea fans talking this morning (Thursday) amid reports that the Blues are ready to launch a bid to sign the England international.

The Borussia Dortmund star has been heavily linked with a return to the Premier League, with Chelsea and Manchester United among the clubs linked with signing him.

A January move seems unlikely, but there have been suggestions that he could move on next summer, with both clubs said to be monitoring his situation in Germany.

And Goal reports that Chelsea are ready to smash their transfer record in a bid to sign the teenager, who has scored two goals in 11 appearances for the senior England team.

January transfer window: everything you need to know

The Blues are currently awaiting the verdict from the Court of Arbitration for Sport [CAS] to an appeal over their transfer ban, which has left them unable to register new players.

But the report suggests that Chelsea are willing to break the club transfer record to sign Sancho.

The record currently stands at £72million, after Chelsea signed goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga from Athletic Club last year.

However, the latest reports suggest that Chelsea are confident of signing the forward, who has also attracted interest from United.

Sancho is friends with a number of Chelsea players, including Tammy Abraham and Callum Hudson-Odoi, and some Blues fans are getting excited at the possibility of him teaming up with them in west London.

Here's what some fans have been saying on social media.
