Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Yves Bissouma has taken to social media and hinted that Nicolas Pepe to Arsenal is a done deal.
This is rather interesting given that the pair are former teammates at Lille.
So is this more of a confirmation that the £72m transfer is all but complete, or is Bissouma - much like the majority of Gunners supporters - just very excited about Pepe moving to north London?
Whatever the case is, Arsenal head coach Unai Emery confirmed his admiration of the Ivory Coast winger at the weekend.
"We are working, the club, and also thinking how we can improve and there are different players with the possibility if we can achieve their signatures.
"Pepe’s a very good player and also we are thinking about only players who really, really improve this squad. And also give us some different conditions to improve."
Various reports claim that Pepe will become an Arsenal player this week. There's even suggestions in France that he will undergo a medical as early as today.
But has Bissouma confirmed the deal already?
In a post on his official Facebook page, the Brighton midfielder posted an image of Pepe in an Arsenal shirt, tagging the player in the update with the caption which reads: "Welcome in Premier League".
Pepe to Arsenal will be one of the biggest deals of the summer transfer window, and certainly an expensive one as he's expected to cost the north London outfit in the region of £72m.
That would be a new transfer record for the Gunners as it eclipses the £56m paid to Borussia Dortmund for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang 18 months ago.
After enjoying a splendid campaign in Ligue 1 where he scored 22 goals and racked up 11 assists last season, his imminent arrival will certainly improve Arsenal's attack which already includes Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette.
