The international transfer window may be closed, but clubs can still complete domestic moves.
And it looks like West Ham are going to do just that - with a big-money move at that.
The Hammers completed the permanent signing of Tomas Soucek this summer, with Czech team-mate Vladimir Coufal joining him at the London Stadium.
But the east Londoners have saved their big-money for a signing from the Championship.
A number of clubs have been chasing Brentford frontman Said Benrahma, with Chelsea linked with a move earlier in the window.
But it looks as if the Hammers have won the race to sign the Algerian.
The 25-year-old scored 17 goals in 43 Championship appearances as the Bees reached last season's play-off final, eventually losing out to London rivals Fulham at Wembley Stadium.
West Ham are in the market for reinforcements, with Benrahma top of their list of transfer targets.
He is expected to cost in the region of £30million and a fortmer Hammer has appeared to confirm the news on his Twitter page.
Trevor Sinclair, who made more than 200 appearances for the Hammers in a five-and-a-half year spell at the club, tweeted on Sunday evening: "Welcome Benrahma," with a cross hammers emoji.
Does he know the ins and outs of the club? Or was he just teasing the Hammers faithful? We'll have to wait and see.
