Weird diner spotted starring at Lee Ryan and Dean Gaffney on Celebs Go Dating

Viewers of Channel 4 show Celebs Go Dating were shocked to spot a weird-looking man starring intensely at contestant Dean Gaffney and pal Lee Ryan as they sat down to chat at a restaurant.

The grey-haired man can be seen in the background of the shot transfixed on the pair, without a thought that his actions might come across as a bit intrusive or at the very worst creepy.

However, the two friends didn't seem to notice as former Eastenders actor Dean, 42, spoke candidly to ex- contestant and former Blue singer, Lee, 36, about his struggles on the show.

The actor explained that he was left red-faced at the mixer when two of the ladies mocked his age.

When Dean, who played Robbie Jackson in the famous soap, spoke about having his 18th birthday at a Romford club called the Hippodrome, his date asked: "How long ago was that?"

Things got much worse for 'The Wolf of Walford' when he asked a woman out on a date - and was awkwardly rejected.

"I think on this occasion I'll probably say 'no'," explained Martine as he was awkwardly pied off.

Dean was mocked further when the dramatic EastEnders 'doof doof' music played.

'The Gaffer' came back with a hilarious response and claimed Martine "must be a Corrie fan".

Red-faced Dean confessed it was an "embarrassing" moment when he returned to speak to the dating agents.

However Lee consoled him by referring back to his own time on the show, last year, when he was also rejected.

The All Rise singer recalled: "Look what happened to me, I got completely mugged off," as an old clip from the show was played where he approached a potential date to ask her out.

After stuttering uncomfortably, the lady in question replied:"I'm gonna have to say no," as Lee looked away embarrassed and punched his heart, as if he had just been stabbed in it.

"All I can say is that it really dented my ego as it is a hard thing being rejected in front of that many people and being on show," he told Dean.

"But it was probably the best thing that happened to me as well because it completely knocked me to the floor and I thought I can't get no worse that this."
