Mayonnaise
Although you normally use mayonnaise in a sandwich, it’s great at removing Christmas tree sap stains! If you don’t have any in the house you can find it for under a pound in most supermarkets.
Spread the mayonnaise onto the stained area using a cloth or rubber gloves and then leave it to sit for five to ten minutes.
Then simply wipe away the softened sap with a clean cloth soaked in warm water and the sap should come straight off.

Ice cubes and vinegar
All you need for this hack is ice cubes and white vinegar - if you don’t already have the vinegar in your cupboard you can get your hands on some for as little as 29 pence.
First, use ice cubes to harden the sticky sap, this may take a few ice cubes so be sure to freeze a full tray.
Then pick off the hardened sap in pieces or scrape it off with a blunt knife. Next, take a cloth dipped in white vinegar and rub away any marks left behind from the sap.

Washing up liquid
Another household item that can remove Christmas tree sap is washing up liquid.
This tip is super easy. You only need to wet a dishcloth with the washing-up liquid and dab it onto the stained area until it disappears then rinse with warm water.
Hand sanitiser
It’s the time of year when coughs and colds are doing the rounds, and everyone has hand sanitiser at the ready.
Take a paper kitchen towel and blot hand sanitiser onto the stain and the alcohol in the sanitizer should dissolve the Christmas tree sap.
