Samantha Ruth Prabhu jets off to Rishikesh for a vacation just weeks after announcing separation from her husband Naga Chaitanya.
Giving a sneak peek into her getaway, Samantha shared a few pictures from Rishikesh on her Instagram story with her fans.

The actress has given a glimpse of her surroundings that includes the scenic beauty of Rishikesh, its wildlife and holy places.
Taking to their respective social media handles, Samantha and Chaitanya announced the news of their separation with their friends and fans. In their statement, they wrote, ‘We are fortunate to have a friendship of over a decade that was the very core of our relationship which we believe will always hold a special bond between us. We request our fans, well-wishers and the media to support us during this difficult time and give us the privacy we need to move on.’
Even after their statement, a lot of speculative news about why they have decided to separate has been doing the rounds on social media. Putting an end to all such reports, Samantha shared a note on her Instagram handle that read, ‘Your emotional investment into a personal crisis has overwhelmed me. Thank you all for showing deep empathy, concern and for defending me against false rumours and stories that are being spread. They say I had affairs, never wanted children, that I am an opportunist and now that I have had abortions.’
Elaborating further, she added, ‘A divorce in itself is an extremely painful process. Let alone allowing me the time to heal. This attack on me personally, has been relentless. But I promise you this, I will never allow this or anything else they say, break me.’
