Weekly recap: Dawgs in the NFL

This week around the National Football League, University of Georgia alumni posted impressive numbers.

Nick Chubb rushed for 122 yards on 20 carries, reaching the end zone twice in a 28-32 loss against Seattle.

Sony Michel was the Patriots’ leading rusher against the Giants on Thursday, accumulating 86 rushing yards while hauling in two catches for 27 yards en route to a 35-14 victory. In the same game, New York linebacker Alec Ogletree tallied 12 combined tackles and recorded a sack.

Speaking of linebackers in New York, Jordan Jenkins recorded a sack en route to the Jets’ first win of the season in a 24-22 upset over the Cowboys after missing the past two games with a calf injury.

Roquan Smith and the Chicago Bears had a bye week, but he recorded nine solo tackles in his most recent game against the Raiders on October 6.

Mecole Hardman recorded four catches for 45 yards in Kansas City’s 24-31 defeat at the hands of visiting Houston.

Matthew Stafford had a productive-yet-forgettable night in a controversial 23-22 loss at Green Bay, throwing for 265 yards with 18 completions on 32 attempts.

Todd Gurley and AJ Green did not see action this week. Gurley is nursing a quad injury. Green hasn’t played all year following offseason ankle surgery.
