Weekly infection rates for your area revealed ahead of coronavirus lockdown review

The Scottish Government has published its latest weekly coronavirus statistics ahead of tomorrow’s alert level review.

Scotland recorded 5,477 positive cases of Covid-19 in the week between November 27 and December 3.

Five percent of those tested over that week were given a positive diagnosis for the virus at the time of their test.

The seven-day positive rate per 100,000 population currently stands at 100.3 for the entire of Scotland.

Latest figures released by public health officials has revealed that Clackmannanshire currently has the highest seven-day positive rate of anywhere else in the country at 207.6 over that period.

However, just 2.7 percent of people tested for the virus in the area were given a positive diagnosis.

Nicola Sturgeon will announce each the alert level of each local authority during the Scottish Government’s weekly review tomorrow.

Glasgow and 10 neighbouring councils will exit level four restrictions on Friday this week.

Non-essential retail and gyms were among the businesses forced to close since the toughest restrictions were imposed on November 20.

All 32 council areas remained in the same levels last week.

The First Minister previously said that it is “likely” that major changes will be announced for some areas tomorrow.

Some regions are hoping to go to even lighter-touch restrictions in level one.

The recent statistics will be one of the determining factors behind the Scottish Government’s decision.

Here is the latest seven-day positivity rate per 100,000 population in each local authority in the week between November 27 and December 3:
