Vital resurfacing work is to take place on a section of Greenhills Road in East Kilbride over the next four weekends.
The road will be closed between High Whitehills Road and Quarry Road this weekend Saturday, January 23 and Sunday, January 24 and then for the following three weekends:
-Saturday, January 30 and Sunday 31;
-Saturday, February 6 and Sunday February 7;
-Saturday, February 13 and Sunday 14.
A diversion route, which will be clearly signposted, will be via High Whitehills Road and Quarry Road.
Councillor John Anderson, said: “We apologise in advance for any inconvenience these vital and necessary works may cause.
“The work is being done at the weekend in a bid to minimise disruption, and we would ask everyone to avoid the area if possible.
“If you cannot, please take note of the diversion route and be aware your journey may be delayed.
“Please also bear in mind the current Scottish Government advice about travel, and consider if your journey is essential.”
