Want to hear something funny? We did – and when we asked Nina Stibbe, Sheila Heti, David Sedaris and others if they wanted to write a humorous tale for Weekend magazine’s fiction special, we found that some of the funniest stories are, at least partly, true.
So this weekend we are publishing a mixture of fiction and non-fiction, from Dave Eggers’ essay about a run-in with the State Department, to Will Self’s uncanny tale of an unexpected encounter, plus some awkward family dynamics courtesy of Jonathan Coe.
