Drivers are being warned of significant delays in the west end this weekend.
University Avenue will be closed from Friday night until first thing on Monday morning.
The road restriction will be in place in order to facilitate the dismantling and removing of the site crane being used for a massive regeneration project at Glasgow University.
A council traffic officer said: "Significant delays can be expected."
The closure will come into force from 12am on Friday, September 27 - 6am on Monday, September 30.
