Weekend betting tips: Four bets that could make you a fortune

The Six Nations continues this weekend as Ireland hope to build on their opening day win over Scotland by overcoming Wales.

There's just four Premier League games taking place between Saturday and Sunday, but there's plenty of horse racing action as the Cheltenham Festival gets closer and closer.

The Allianz Football League continues, while Dundalk and Shamrock Rovers clash in the President's Cup.

Here's our best bets:

Wales +4 handicap vs Ireland 2.15pm Saturday EVS

Ireland's performance against Scotland last week left the feeling that even if they do beat Wales this weekend, it won't be by a big margin.

I think Andy Farrell's men will struggle to emerge victorious, but will really struggle to beat their neighbours by five or more points.

Even money looks a fair enough price for Wales on the +4 handicap and could get our weekend bets off to a winning start.

Altior 2.25pm Newbury Saturday

Altior should get back to winning ways when he returns to two miles at Newbury on Saturday.

After Chacun Pour Soi's heroics at Leopardstown seven days ago, it's the turn of Nicky Henderson's star to underline his Champion Chase credentials.

Henderson reported earlier this week that Altior is "working as well as ever" and that "no horse in England would have kept up with him" during a recent bit of work. That sounds very, very promising.

Not So Sleepy 3.35pm Newbury Saturday 6/1

(PA)

In the Betfair Hurdle, Not So Sleepy holds a strong chance for trainer Hughie Morrison and jockey Jonathan Burke as he goes in seek of a three-timer.

He was last seen winning the Betfair Exchange Trophy by nine and a half lengths and scored by two lengths in his run prior to that success.

He should go close in this competitive contest.

Sheffield United to beat Bournemouth 2pm Sunday 4/6

(PA)

The Blades have been one of the success stories of the season and amazingly find themselves just five points off a Champions League spot.

They welcome a Bournemouth side to Bramall Lane who are just above the relegation zone after winning their last two league games.

The last game between these sides finished 1-1, but with home advantage I fancy United to win.
