Weekend betting tips: Four bets that could make you a fortune

We tipped three out of four winners last week with Kew Gardens finishing strongly but unable to reel in Search For a Song in the Irish St. Leger

And there is plenty more sport to look to this weekend with the Rugby World Cup in full swing in Japan.

Ireland begin their campaign to go beyond the quarter-finals for the first time with a clash against Six Nations rivals Scotland.

There is also plenty of Premier League and horse racing action.

Here are our best bets:

Malotru - 2.25 Newbury Saturday 6/1

Trainer Marco Botti (Alan Crowhurst/Getty Images)

Marco Botti started off this son of Casamento at Chelmsford in May where he ran out an easy winner.

A trip to Italy followed where he won a Group 2 readily over six furlongs in the hands of Andrea Atzeni.

It was a bit of a surprise then that he went off an unfancied 20/1 in the Gimcrack Stakes at York last month.

And Malotru ran like his odds for a long way in that race, racing towards the rear and never looking like landing a blow on the comfortable winner Threat.

But the two-year-old had to be switched to the rail with two furlongs to go having been short of room before staying on well to finish fourth.

It was a babyish performance that suggests that there is a lot more to come from this horse whose form has been boosted by Threat's subsequent victory in the Champagne Stakes.

Ireland v Scotland 8.45am Sunday - Man of the Match: Andrew Conway 20/1

Andrew Conway (©INPHO/Ryan Byrne)

Joe Schmidt has had to shuffle his pack for the World Cup opener after injuries to Robbie Hensaw, Keith Earls and Rob Kearney.

Among those to profit is Munster winger Andrew Conway who has been in great form this season.

The former Leinster man possesses a terrific step and has become an excellent finisher.

And with Scotland tending to favour an expansive style, this could be an open game where there is plenty of space for the likes of Conway to exploit.

At 20/1, he looks very good odds for the man of the match award.

Gulliver - 3.50 Ayr Saturday 8/1

Trainer David O'Meara (John Walton/PA Wire)

Note should be taken of the money that has come for Gulliver in the William Hill Ayr Gold Cup.

David O'Meara is a master at getting one ready for these races and things nearly fell into place in a valuable handicap at the Curragh last time out.

You need luck in these sprint handicaps though and Gulliver met plenty of trouble before finishing strongly in third behind the reopposing Buffer Zone.

He has gone up one pound for that effort and another big run looks on the cards in the hands of Jason Hart.

Wolves to beat Crystal Palace Sunday 2pm 9/5

Nothing seemed to go wrong for Wolves last season and their reward was a Europa League spot in their first season back in the Premier League.

But the West Midlands side have had a tough start to the season and sit just one place from the bottom of the table with the extra demands of European football likely not a help.

They are obviously a lot better than their league position suggests and played well for large spells only to lose again to Braga at Molinuex on Thursday.

But we expect them to be fired up to put things right at Selhurst Park and come away with three points.
