Weekend betting tips: Four bets that could make you a fortune

The Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby takes centre stage this weekend as 15 go to post for the Group 1 contest at the Curragh.

The race's prize fund may have been cut in half for this year's renewal, but that doesn't take anything away from the quality of horses on show.

It's been quite the week for sport, with Liverpool being crowned Premier League champions following Chelsea's win over Manchester City on Thursday.

Here's our best bets for the weekend:

Bowerman 5.45pm Curragh Saturday 9/2

Bowerman should go close in the Dubai Duty Free Finest Surprise Celebration Stakes on Saturday.

He has won three of his last four starts since being gelded, including the Irish Lincolnshire over course and distance earlier this month, and looks a solid bet.

Manchester United to beat Norwich 5.30pm Saturday 4/9

The FA Cup is one of two trophies Manchester United can still win this season and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be desperate to bring some silverware to Old Trafford.

United played well midweek when running out 3-0 winners over Sheffield United and should beat Norwich comfortably if in the same form on Saturday.

Frenetic 6.45pm Curragh Saturday 6/4

Frenetic made all under Colin Keane to score on her debut at Navan 16 days ago and she is fancied to land the GAIN First Flier Stakes over Chief Little Hawk, who was very impressive when winning on debut before finishing seventh in the Windsor Castle Stakes at Ascot last week.

Ger Lyons and Keane have been in stunning form since the resumption of racing and they could land another listed victory with Frenetic.

Santiago 7.15pm Curragh Saturday 3/1

Santiago looks to be Aidan O'Brien's leading chance in this evening's Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby with Seamie Heffernan on board.

He was impressive when winning the Queen's Vase over 1m 6f at Royal Ascot eight days ago and should have no problem running over this shorter trip.

It would be no surprise should one of O'Brien's other five runners come home in front, but Santiago looks the pick of them.
