Weekend betting tips: Four bets that could make you a fortune

There's plenty of sporting action taking place this weekend.

The Scottish Grand National takes centre stage on the racing front, while the Premier League continues with just a few games to go.

Irishman Dennis Hogan is also in action as he bids to become a world champion. He faces undefeated Mexican boxer Jaime Munguia in the early hours of Sunday morning Irish time for the WBO World Junior Middleweight Championship.

Here's our best bets:

Pearl Of The West 2.25pm Ayr Saturday 14/1

The Scottish Champion Hurdle could be going to an Irish-trained winner for the first time since the Charlie Swan-trained Emmpat took the contest in 2007.

Pearl Of The West runs for Co Meath trainer John McConnell and looks like he has been laid out for the race.

He defeated Redicean, who is a lot shorter in the betting for the Ayr contest than him, at Cheltenham in October and his first run since that success at Dundalk last month should have him primed for a big effort here.

Tottenham -2 handicap v Huddersfield 12.30pm Saturday 17/10

Yes we know putting an early kick-off in your Saturday coupon almost always ends in disaster but.....

Spurs have started life at their new stadium well, with a huge Champions League victory against Manchester City midweek coming after a win over Crystal Palace six days previously.

Even without Harry Kane, they should comfortably see off Huddersfield here.

Geronimo 3.35pm Ayr Saturday 16/1

Geronimo might just be the answer to the Scottish Grand National which as always looks a very tricky contest to call.

The eight-year-old is very consistent, having at least finished in the money on all but one of his starts.

He also has course form, with his two wins to date coming at this venue and will have the joint lowest weight in the race as his regular rider Rachel McDonald takes off a valuable five pounds.

West Brom to beat Preston 3pm Saturday 10/11

Both West Brom and Preston come into this game having not won their past few games.

The Baggies lost their last two, while Preston have tasted defeated in their past three.

Preston look like their season could be over as they sit midtable, but West Brom will be hoping to get back to winning ways as they will be in the play-offs barring an incredibly disastrous last few games.
