Honestly, I would say the refs, but I digress.
The true hero of the game is kicker Matt Prater. Despite the Lions getting to the red zone several times, they were unable to come up with touchdowns. And to be fair, if they were able to get the touchdowns, the refs wouldn’t have been able to decide this game. Well, maybe.
Prater was 5/5 and scored over half of the Lions points today with 16. This is the third game in a row where Prater has scored at least 10 points. His five field goals tied a career-high.
Prater also hit another milestone, making his 50th field goal of at least 50 yards, joining fellow Lions kicker Jason Hanson and Raiders Sebastian Janikowski as the only players to accomplish this.
