Week 6 bye proves to be good for the Raiders

The Oakland Raiders were off in Week 6 as they had their bye. However, it proved to be one of the best weeks of the season for the team as both Kansas City and the Los Angeles Chargers lost at home.

Oakland is just one game back of the division lead and is currently slotted as one of the AFC’s wild-card teams after six weeks.

It also helped that numerous other AFC contenders lost this week, such as the Browns, Jaguars, and Titans. Without playing a snap, the Raiders’ odds of making the playoffs improved dramatically.

With 11 games left in the season, the Raiders are in a great spot to make a run at the playoffs in the AFC. If they can get to 9-10 wins, which isn’t impossible considering they’ve already played some of their toughest games, Oakland could make the playoffs in Gruden’s second year with the team.

Week 6 was a good week for the Raiders.
