Week 3 NFL TV schedule and game maps

Week 3 is the first week that CBS has the nationally televised game in the afternoon. The best game isn’t in the afternoon though. The Chiefs vs. Ravens matchup has huge implications for the playoffs. It’s a tiebreaker game in the early part of the season if both teams play up to expectation for the rest of the season. The AFC West looks to be the Chiefs to take. The Ravens have to be the favorite in the AFC North after Ben Roethlisberger’s injury and the Browns’ disappointing early in the season. Here are the television maps for Week 3 of the regular season. Thanks to 506Sports.com, per usual.

Fox Single Game (1:00 p.m. ET / 10:00 a.m. PT and 4:00 p.m. ET / 1:00 p.m. PT)

Miami @ Dallas Kevin Burkhardt, Charles Davis

Detroit @ Philadelphia Thom Brennaman, Chris Spielman

Denver @ Green Bay Chris Myers, Daryl Johnston

Oakland @ Minnesota Dick Stockton, Mark Schlereth

NY Giants @ Tampa Bay (4:00 p.m. ET / 1:00 p.m PT) Kenny Albert, Ronde Barber, Tiki Barber

Carolina @ Arizona (4:00 p.m. ET / 1:00 p.m PT) Dan Hellie, Brady Quinn

Let’s be honest, Fox doesn’t have great games this week. In fact, the main crew of Joe Buck and Troy Aikman aren’t even on a Sunday game this week. The most intriguing game may be Daniel Jones first start for the Giants.

CBS Early Game (1:00 p.m. ET / 10:00 a.m. PT)

Baltimore @ Kansas City Ian Eagle, Dan Fouts
NY Jets @ New England Kevin Harlan, Rich Gannon
Atlanta @ Indianapolis Andrew Catalon, James Lofton
Cincinnati @ Buffalo Tom McCarthy, Jay Feely

The game of the week is the early game between Kansas City and Baltimore.  Unfortunately for the east coast, they can’t watch the game unless they live in the DMV. Based on the first two weeks, Lamar Jackson would be the NFL’s MVP. It will be interesting to see what John Harbaugh comes up with on both offense and defense to try and slow down the wagon that is the Chiefs offense.

CBS Late Game (4:00 p.m. ET / 1:00 p.m. PT)

New Orleans @ Seattle Jim Nantz, Tony Romo
Pittsburgh @ San Francisco Greg Gumbel, Trent Green
Houston @ LA Chargers Spero Dedes, Adam Archuleta
No game due to NFL Blackout rules

It’s one of those weird situations where CBS gets the main game but that game features two NFC teams. New Orleans will play without Drew Brees in the first time in forever. The only blackout area is in Arizona. Carolina will get both afternoon games.
