Week 2 NFL TV schedule and game maps

Now that we are settled into football season after a full slate in Week 1, we come back down a bit in Week 2. The CBS early games aren’t great at all. Fox has a great afternoon game between the Saints and Rams. That 2018 NFC championship rematch would’ve been a lot more interesting in New Orleans. What’s on the rest of the slate, you ask. Here are the television maps for Week 1 of the regular season. Welcome back. Thanks to 506Sports.com, per usual.

CBS Single Game (1:00 p.m. ET / 10:00 a.m. PT and 4:00 p.m. ET / 1:00 p.m. PT)

New England @ Miami Ian Eagle, Dan Fouts
Buffalo @ NY Giants Greg Gumbel, Trent Green
LA Chargers @ Detroit Kevin Harlan, Rich Gannon
Indianapolis @ Tennessee Spero Dedes, Adam Archuleta
Jacksonville @ Houston Andrew Catalon, James Lofton
Kansas City @ Oakland (LATE) Jim Nantz, Tony Romo

Not exactly a killer slate for CBS this week. The Chiefs Oakland game somehow secretly became one of the best games on the slate. I am sorry for the people who have to watch the Patriots play the Dolphins unless they like seeing what could be one of the most lopsided games of the season.

Fox Early Game (1:00 p.m. ET / 10:00 a.m. PT

Dallas @ Washington Kevin Burkhardt, Charles Davis

Seattle @ Pittsburgh Kenny Albert, Ronde Barber

San Francisco @ Cincinnati Thom Brennaman, Chris Spielman

Minnesota @ Green Bay Chris Myers, Daryl Johnston

Arizona @ Baltimore Brandon Gaudin, Cris Carter

No Game due to NFL Blackout Rules

Minnesota v. Green Bay seems like the biggest game here. That matchup could play a role in late season tiebreakers and the winner will have the extremely early lead in AFC North. Only Nashville and a small part of the tri-state area will be blacked out.

Late Game (4:00 p.m. ET / 1:00 p.m. PT)

New Orleans @ LA Rams Joe Buck, Troy Aikman
Chicago @ Denver Dick Stockton, Mark Schlereth

Here it is, the 2018 NFC Championship rematch. If for some reason you don’t get that game it means you will watch something that could be very boring. The Bears and Broncos doesn’t exactly sound like it’s going to be a shootout. In fact, that matchup could be two of the worst QBs in the league if Week 1 was any indicator. Mitch Trubisky will probably bounce back. We most likely saw what Joe Flacco is going to be the rest of the season.
