Spots two through four are extremely tight.

Tiers are really coming together.

OK, so the latest power rankings by our staff did not show any movement from last week but there is a lot to take away with the non-movement. When you break down the actual point total it is a whole lot closer between San Diego State, Fresno State, and Utah State.

Nevada is still miles ahead of all of these teams.

However, the Aggies staying at No. 2 is just by a single point over the Bulldogs and the Aztecs are just a handful of points behind Fresno State for the third spot.

After that set of three teams, it is not even really close with Boise State and the rest of the league. While UNLV is just a half-game behind San Diego State, the Rebels do not seem too much of a threat as they seem to be only capable of beating the bad teams this year.

The real jockeying for the Mountain West tournament will be between the No. 2 – No. 4 seed and just maybe the fifth seed if the Rebels can make a move.

These rankings go through games played from Feb. 12 – Feb. 18
