Animal welfare experts are appealing to find a new home for Nancy, an Akita cross, who is currently being cared for at Dogs Trust’s West Calder Rehoming Centre.
She is eight years old and her carers say she is a very gentle and loving pooch in search of some extra TLC.
A spokesperson for Dogs Trust said: “Nancy adores being a part of the family and she is at her most content surrounded by her loved ones or when she’s meeting new people getting plenty of love and attention. She enjoys pottering around the garden and setting off for countryside walks.
“This happy girl also enjoys her home comforts and she will happily spend an afternoon snoozing away in her cosy bed. While Nancy adores the affections of her family, she does not like to be around other dogs and so she would be happiest as the only pet in the home.”
If you think you could provide the perfect home for Nancy, or any of the other 50 dogs currently available for rehoming, please contact the centre on 01506 873459.
