'Wee jab - nae bother!' Sir Billy Connolly receives second dose of Covid-19 vaccine at local supermarket

Sir Billy Connolly has received his second Covid-19 jab with the star now fully vaccinated against the virus.

The Big Yin wore a mask as he got the injection at his local supermarket in Florida.

His wife Pamela Stephenson shared a picture on social media of the Scots funny man who said 'wee jab - nae bother!' as he got the jag.

The couple have been left 'relieved' the 78-year-old icon has some protection as he battles Parkinsons.

Billy and Pamela, who have been married for 30 years, now live in the USA while the retired comedy legend battles the disease.

He was diagnosed with the degenerative disorder in 2013 but claims it taught him life-affirming and inspiring lessons about the people around him.

Pamela posted on Twitter: "Billy just had his second Covid 19 vaccination!

"We waited our turn and received them at our local Publix supermarket.

"So relieved he has some protection now!

"He said 'Wee jab - nae bother!'"

The tweet raked in thousands of likes with hundreds of well wishers sending their support.

Scotland's Justice Minister, Humza Yousaf, said: "The big yin getting a wee jab, brilliant to see."

Pamela has also shared the news when the comedy king was first vaccinated on 22nd January.

The 71-year-old comedian and psychologist posted a picture of her husband wearing a mask and plaster and said 'Thank God... Billy had his first Covid-19 vaccine today!'
