Wednesday's Love Island to be delayed for England v Denmark semi final

ITV have confirmed that Wednesday's Love Island will be postponed for the England match.

On Wednesday night, the Three Lions take on Denmark at Wembley for a place in the Euro 2020 final and after, viewers urged the channel to move Love Island from its usual 9pm slot to later, they have got their wish.

As credits rolled on Tuesday's dramatic episode, which saw Hugo left in tears after a row over his 'fake' comments spiralled in the villa, the voice over guy announced that Love Island will be on at the later time of 10pm on ITV2 on Wednesday.

If it had gone out at 9pm as planned it would have directly clashed with the second half of England v Denmark on ITV.

Let's hope the semi doesn't go to penalties as if it does, 10pm will still be too early!

Reacting to the news, one fan tweeted: "Just when the men think they’ve got out of watching #LoveIsland tomorrow because England’s playing but ITV are putting it on at 10pm instead. Yesssss!!"

Another posted: " #LoveIsland on at 10pm tomorrow cause they know everyone will be watching the England game at 9pm"

More football minded fans took aim at those who'd even consider missing the second half of the crunch fixture for Love Island, with one commenting: "If England get to the final tomorrow NOBODY should be watching love island on that day!!!"

Wednesday's Love Island does actually look like being a must watch, with a teaser showing Brad showing a keen interest in one of the new girls as Rachel is left in tears in the Beach Hut.

Both Love Island and England v Denmark will also be available to watch on the ITVHub.
