Wednesday racing tips from Newsboy as Nap chases Yarmouth win with Tom Marquand riding

By David Yates

AJYAALL can deliver for Tom Marquand and William Haggas in Yarmouth's Sky Sports Racing Sky 415 Handicap (3.20).

Reaching his peak for the season, the four-year-old was beaten less than a length in a decent race at Ascot last time.

Racing prominently towards the near side, the son of Kingman looked the likely winner two furlongs from the finish, but he encountered determined rival Twaasol.

Up one grade this afternoon, this mile contest looks winnable and Marquand is he right type of rider to inspire the selection off a workable mark.

In Sandown's feature race, the Listed Chasemore Farm Fortune Stakes (3.30), MOSTAHDAF is fancied to return to winning ways.

Unplaced at Royal Ascot, John Gosden lowers the Frankel colt's sights at the Esher track.

Before he was pitched into Group 1 company, he raced to a third win in as many starts at this level.

That came on soft ground over course and distance so the recent rain won't be an inconvenience.

SPIRIT OF THE BAY has a live chance of landing the four-timer in the Coln Valley Stud Fillies' Handicap (4.05) at Sandown.

Successful twice at Kempton in the sequence, she showed she acts as well on turf by winning at Chepstow too.

She appears to have had enough in hand to cope with a 6lb rise in the weights – and should go in again.
