The government reported one new coronavirus case and no new deaths on Wednesday.

The total number of infections in Thailand is now 3,084 and the accumulated death toll is at 58 since the outbreak began in January.

The new case is a 26-year-old Thai man who recently returned from Saudi Arabia, said a spokeswoman for the government's coronavirus task force.

A total of 2,968 patients have recovered, including two over the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 110 Thai nationals, stranded in Japan by the Covid-19 pandemic, returned home on Tuesday on a flight from Tokyo.

In the airport health screening process, seven of them were found to have a fever and sent to a hospital for an examination. The rest were taken by buses for a 14-day state quarantine.
