A POPULAR hotel and wedding venue in Angus has been put up for sale for the first time in 20 years.
The Park Hotel, built in 1860, is located just a few minutes away from Montrose’s town centre, the beach, and several golf courses.
The hotel is described by Visit Scotland as an “excellent base” for exploring the nearby Angus Glens, along with exploring both Glamis and Dunnotar castles, which are a little over half an hour away.
Drysdale and Company are in charge of the sale of the popular venue and have it listed for offers over £1.35 million.

The hotel, which boasts a four-star rating on TripAdvisor with more than 400 reviews, is described as having “excellent” food options with “exceptionally friendly” staff.
Across both the buildings' floors, there is a range of single, twin, double, and superior rooms which come with their own amenities.
The listing for the hotel reads: “The Park Hotel has been independently owned and operated as the leading hotel in the area for over 20 years and is well established in the town centre of Montrose.
“The lounge bar and restaurant are popular with both guests and local residents and the hotel provides function accommodation for up to 180 guests.”
