Wedding planner urges brides to pack cotton wool for big day as it 'salvaged' her photos

A wedding planner and coordinator who got married herself last year has opened up about the two unexpected items that ended up saving her photos - cotton wool and a nipple cover.

According to professional event planner Georgina Mitchell, who said 'I do' on New Year's Eve, all brides-to-be should make sure they have these items to hand on the day itself.

In a TikTok video, the mum-of-one explained how cotton wool and a nipple cover ended up "saving" her wedding after realising something about her wedding dress at the very last minute.

According to Georgina, after slipping on her gown on the morning of her wedding, the only thing she could focus on was how visible her belly button was.

She couldn't get past seeing her belly button, and decided to take action (@georginaroseevents/TikTok)

In the clip, which has clocked up 70.5K likes and counting, Georgina revealed: "I look in the mirror, and the only thing I can see is my belly button.

"You might be thinking, 'don't be weird!' But literally, the dress is a tight dress, and all you could see is a big dent in my tummy where my belly button is. And I'm not saying that people shouldn't have belly buttons but it was not a vibe."

Resourceful Georgina who goes by the username @georginaroseevents, continued: "So to save the day, I screwed up some cotton pads [...] or you can get cotton balls, and then I put it into my bellybutton and then I put a nipple pad over the top."

Admitting that she knew full well that people would either think she was "weird" or a "genius" for thinking up the hack, she urged brides with form-fitting gowns to pack some cotton wool "as a backup plan".

One approving person commented: "I'm saving this for any dress I wear never mind a wedding dress!! It always ruins the way my dresses look!! Thank you."

Another wrote: "I have a belly button phobia so this tip is gold."
