Wedding of the Week: East Mains couple Ruth Miller and James Moore

The couple: James, from Glenrothes, is a day care worker and Ruth, from East Mains, is a home carer. They now live together in East Mains.

Where they met: Ruth and James met for their first date in Glasgow Central after chatting online for a few months. Ruth commuted to Galenrothes twice a week before James moved to East Kilbride.

The wedding: The ceremony was held at the Holiday Inn, East Kilbride on December 29, 2018.

Attire: The bride wore her Royal Stuart handmade dress from Magpie Moments in East Kilbride and bridesmaids wore red dresses with tartan specially made, also from Magpie Moments. Bridesmaid Rachel wore a Rangers tartan kilt from EK Kilt Hire, as did her uncle Brian and best men, while the groom wore the Anderson tartan kilt.

Bridal party: Bridesmaids were Ruth’s daughters Laura, Susan and Rachel and best men were Tommy and John.

Honeymoon: The newlyweds went on a familymoon to Cape Verde with youngest daughter Rachel.
