Wedding guests cling to tables as earthquake hits while bride and groom exchange vows

A bride and groom got the shock of their lives when an earthquake struck in the middle of their wedding ceremony.

The clip, filmed by guests, shows the loving couple surrounded by friends and family for their wedding in the Gonen district of Isparta province in south western Turkey.

But as the couple, identified as Cengiz Yildirim and Halise Cevizkaya, are about to exchange wedding vows, all of a sudden the ground begins to shake.

Shocked guests cling onto the table for support as the earthquake takes hold.

The ceremony was being conducted by the town's Mayor and it is unclear if the ceremony continued after the tremors ended.

Fortunately local media reported that nobody was injured at the wedding.

The incident came just hours after Turkey was hit by 114 earthquakes within eight hours on the previous day.

The footage was filmed by guests on their smartphones (AsiaWire)

According to local media, Earthquakes mostly struck the Aegean region but some were felt in the Isparta province, located in southwestern Turkey too.

The largest such earthquake appeared in the country's Denizli province, also located in southwestern Turkey.

The magnitude of this tremor was 6.0 according to local media, however, the magnitude of the earthquake seen here is unclear.
