A bride and groom have been branded "rude" for the information within their wedding invites. The couple, who sent out the notices to friends and family with the details of their big day, were slated by one unimpressed invitee.
The woman was put off by the make-up of the invite itself, which she said was written on cardboard and "jammed" into the envelope. She was then taken aback to realise that the bride and groom had specifically highlighted the registry, angling for gifts, reports the Mirror.
Upon digging deeper into the happy couple's correspondence, she was further infuriated by the exent of her invite. And she turned to popular forum site Reddit to find out what others thought of the note.
Sharing a picture of the invite, she wrote: "On first impression, I was a little put off that not only was it handwritten on a thin piece of cardboard folded in half and jammed into an envelope.
"But it had the registry in big bold letters in permanent marker on the front of the invite. That's a bad enough first impression, but then I noticed something."

The woman spotted that the invite stated she could attend the ceremony during the day but not the evening bash. She added: "We messaged the groom and asked if there was a reception afterward because the invite only listed the ceremony location. He said yes, but we weren't invited because they couldn't afford a big to-do so only family and close friends were invited to the reception.
"So they tell us the registry information and they want us at the ceremony, but they don't like us enough to invite us to the reception? It's over an hour away and the ceremony is only 30 minutes. Is this a thing? That's normal? I am planning on RSVPing no."
The irked woman wanted to know if she was being unreasonable, but most users were on her side in the comments. One wrote: "That's impressively rude. You can invite people to the reception only but not just the ceremony. I would reconsider the friendship."
Another wrote: "What a greedy gift grab! Totally not a thing, and definitely rude!" A third added: "I had this happen to me. I found it extremely tacky. You’re just wanting extra gifts and making it very obvious."
