Webinar to help students pick courses

BENGALURU: Choosing a course after 12th grade is a confusing affair for most students and parents, thanks to the pandemic-induced uncertainty and mushrooming of new courses. Other than engineering,

commerce and science streams, multidisciplinary courses are the new talk of town.

To help bring clarity in such a situation, TOI’s annual initiative, Mission Admission, provides information about admissions through discussions with experts and sessions answering queries of students and parents.

As part of this initiative, The Times of India, in association with Dayanand Sagar University, ISME Bangalore and Sindhi College, will host a webinar on the Facebook page of TOI Bangalore on Friday, 4pm to 5pm.

Three discussions will be held as part of the webinar: ‘Discussion on careers in engineering and way forward’ by KNB Murthy, professor of CSE and vice-chancellor, Dayananda Sagar University (DSU), and Prof. Arvind Srinivas, practice consultant, DSU; ‘Discussion on courses in commerce and management after class 12 and future career options’ by Rony Kurien, dean, ISME, Bangalore and Pronob Jyoti Chetia, director, HR & communication, Asia-Pacific region, Volvo Group; ‘Online education is the future of education’ by BS Srikanta, principal, Sindhi College, Bengaluru, and Rishikesh BS, associate professor, Azim Premji University.
