A shop in Bristol city centre described as a "hidden gem" has closed - but people can still order its products online.
Weber & Tring's on Christmas Steps stocked an impressive range of premium spirits and liqueurs, which it showcased to discerning drinkers at regular tasting events.
But owners Sarah Weber and Richard Tring have announced their business is now operating solely online, as they can no longer hold the events which were crucial to it due to social distancing.
A statement shared on the Weber & Tring's Facebook page reads: "We are now exclusively an online shop.
"We hope to be able to resume our Gin Blending sessions and Spirits Tastings when it is safe to do so, but for the moment large group gatherings obviously aren't, even for the sake of gin!
"We cannot carry on trading from our shop, as without the tastings and events the shop isn't really viable.
"Hopefully we will be able to do a little Christmas pop up which will allow us to see you all again.
"Until then, thank you so much for your custom, support, following, chat and love."
They added it would be "impossible" to afford the building without the income generated from the events, which were held in a room above the shop and popular with groups of people celebrating occasions.
People have reacted with sadness to the news, with one person writing "Christmas Steps won't be the same without your little shop".
Reviews of the shop over the years have praised the "knowledgeable and informative staff" and range of "finest and rarest spirits," with one fan describing it as a "hidden gem".
