Web thermometer: A twittering bridge and a wobbly walkway

Last week we launched our unscientific probe into the web's news atmosphere. Here are today's offerings.

Take a look at the different ways these five stories are creating a stir on the web today. Let us know what you think of the coverage and pass on other interesting stuff you've come across.

1. For Thames river boat pilots and fans of the absurd the Tower Bridge is now on Twitter.

2. Don't look at this if you have a fear of heights.

One viewer was moved to comment:

3. Leeds teenager Joey Gouly, has broken the record for solving a Rubik's cube blindfolded. It took him just 48 seconds. His Maths teacher said: "He has a very logical brain."

4. Erik Nordenankar, a graphic design student, has been forced to issue a clarification after claiming to create the world's biggest drawing by sending a GPS device across the globe with the delivery company DHL.

"I think it's possible to realise the project for real, but due to my extremely limited budget that was not possible. Just to be clear. This is fictional work. DHL did not transport the GPS at any time," said Nordenankar.

5. YouTube has launched a Citizen Journalist channel. Juliana Rincon Parra on Global Voices approves: "Getting citizen journalism videos more airtime has just gotten easier," she says.
