Web sight: Woman tells police she ran naked around park to escape 'giant spider'

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. _ A woman ran naked through a public park to get away from a giant spider, she told police.

According to police, 40-year-old Danielle Teeples was completely nude on Sunday around 2:15 p.m.

She was "acting erratically" while rubbing her hair and "screaming and running between two trees," according to the arrest report. She told police she believed "a giant spider" was on her, and she took off her clothes to get away from it.

Teeples, who initially refused police orders to get dressed, told police she had used drugs recently, including meth, spice and crack cocaine, according to the arrest report.

She was arrested and remains in custody at the Pinellas County Jail.

Jail records show Teeples has several arrests in Pinellas County on charges including drug possession, prostitution and forgery.
