Liverpool weather: Met Office updates 'danger to life' warning as Storm Eunice hits
The Met Office has updated its "danger to life" weather warning for Merseyside.
A yellow alert had been issued across the region on Friday, February 18, as Storm Eunice is set to batter the UK.
The Met Office said: "There is a good chance that flying debris could result in a danger to life.

"Damage to buildings and homes is likely, with roofs blown off and power lines brought down."

Man arrested after Lime Street sex attack

A man has been arrested after reports a woman was raped in Liverpool city centre.
Police officers were called to a report of a sexual assault during the early hours of Sunday, February 6.
Today, February 17, British Transport Police confirmed a 31-year-old man from Liverpool has been arrested in connection with the incident.
Last week, a police cordon was in place covering an area next to the Lord Nelson Street entrance while a number of officers and a police vehicle remained at the scene.

Boy rushed to Alder Hey after being hit by car

A boy was rushed to Alder Hey Children's Hospital after being hit by a car.
Officers were called to reports of a crash on Saturday, January 8 at around 4.50pm involving a Ford Fiesta and a pedestrian on Hall Lane between Wincham Hall and Green Lane in Wincham, Cheshire.
The pedestrian, a teenage boy, suffered serious injuries and was taken to Alder Hey Children's Hospital.
