The IMD has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places over Assam and Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Bihar, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Odisha, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand on August 5.
Heavy rainfall alerts have also been issued for Delhi-NCR, Haryana, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Kerala, Karnataka and parts of Northeast India.
Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds are likely over parts of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha and West Bengal.
The IMD has also warned of squally sea conditions over parts of the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal, with winds reaching up to 60-70 kmph in some areas.
Delhi, Haryana, Punjab weather forecast: Rain, thunderstorms likely
Delhi, Haryana, Chandigarh and Punjab are likely to receive fairly widespread to widespread rainfall between August 4 and 6. The IMD has forecast isolated heavy rainfall in Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and Punjab during this period.
Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning are also expected in parts of the region. Gusty winds and heavy showers may affect normal activities in some areas.
Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir weather forecast
Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh and Uttarakhand are expected to witness widespread rainfall along with isolated thunderstorms and lightning from August 4 to 10.
Heavy rainfall is likely in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh and adjoining areas on August 5, while Himachal Pradesh may receive heavy showers between August 5 and 10. Uttarakhand is expected to witness heavy rainfall from August 6 to 10.
The IMD has also warned of isolated very heavy rainfall in Uttarakhand and other Himalayan regions during the forecast period.
Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan weather forecast
East and West Uttar Pradesh are likely to receive widespread rainfall during the first week of August. Isolated heavy rainfall is expected in West Uttar Pradesh on August 5 and 7, while East Uttar Pradesh may witness heavy showers on August 6.
East Rajasthan is likely to experience rainfall and thunderstorms, with heavy showers expected on August 6 and between August 9 and 10. West Rajasthan may also receive heavy rainfall between August 7 and 9.
Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh weather forecast
Central India is expected to witness increased rainfall activity. West Madhya Pradesh may receive widespread rainfall from August 6 to 8, while East Madhya Pradesh is likely to experience similar conditions between August 6 and 9.
Chhattisgarh is expected to receive widespread rainfall from August 4 to 10, with thunderstorms and lightning likely during the period. Vidarbha may also witness rainfall and thunderstorms on August 5.
Heavy rainfall is likely in Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh, with isolated very heavy rainfall possible over parts of Madhya Pradesh.
Bihar, Odisha, West Bengal weather forecast
Bihar, Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim are expected to receive widespread rainfall.
Bihar may witness heavy rainfall on August 5, while Odisha is likely to receive heavy showers between August 5 and 10. Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim may experience heavy to very heavy rainfall, with isolated extremely heavy rainfall possible.
Gangetic West Bengal may also receive heavy rainfall during the forecast period.
Northeast India weather forecast
Assam and Meghalaya are likely to experience heavy to very heavy rainfall on August 5, with isolated extremely heavy rainfall possible, according to IMD.
Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura are also expected to receive rainfall and thunderstorms. Heavy rainfall is likely over Assam and Meghalaya from August 4 to 10.
The IMD has also forecast thunderstorms accompanied by lightning in parts of the Northeast.
Maharashtra, Goa weather forecast
Konkan and Goa are likely to witness widespread rainfall from August 4 to 10. Madhya Maharashtra may receive showers on August 5, while Marathwada is expected to see rainfall activity.
Heavy rainfall is likely over Konkan and Goa, with isolated very heavy rainfall possible on August 5. Madhya Maharashtra may also receive heavy showers during the period.
Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala weather forecast
Kerala, Mahe, Coastal Karnataka and Lakshadweep are likely to receive widespread rainfall from August 4 to 10.
Heavy rainfall is expected in Kerala and Mahe between August 4 and 8, while Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka may witness heavy showers from August 5 to 7.
Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka may experience thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds.
Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka may receive isolated very heavy rainfall on August 5.

Coastal areas weather warning
The IMD has warned of squally weather over parts of the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal.
Wind speeds of 45-55 kmph, gusting up to 65 kmph, are likely over parts of the Arabian Sea, including areas near Somalia and Oman coasts.
Squally weather with winds reaching 40-50 kmph and gusting up to 60 kmph is expected along the Karnataka and Kerala coasts, Lakshadweep area and adjoining seas.
Similar conditions are likely over parts of the Bay of Bengal, including areas near Sri Lanka and the Andaman Sea.
