Weather to stay dry and sunny - but not for much longer

For the last week before the clocks move forward for the start of British Summer Time (BST), the weather has been unusually sunny and mild - but who's complaining?

This pattern will continue today, which got off to a fine although chilly start. The rest of the day will stay dry and fine with warm spells of sunshine, and a maximum temperature of around 16C.

It will be mainly dry overnight but turning increasingly cloudy with some areas of mist and fog. With more cloud around it won't be as cold as recent nights.

Saturday will be a generally cloudy day and will feel cooler for most, with a maximum temperature of 12C.

For the start of British Summer Time on Sunday, it will be cold and bright with some sunny spells.

It is forecast to be another frosty start on Monday before rain and stronger winds arrive later, with sunshine and blustery showers on Tuesday.
