Weather in Dublin today: WARNING issued by Met Eireann as 20C predicted for Ireland but what is the weekend like?

Start making those weekend plans because Met Eireann is promising a very sunny Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Friday won't look too good starting off but rain will clear in the morning to make way for dry and sunny spells with the odd isolated shower.

Temperatures will reach highs of 18C and will drop to as low as 9C overnight with dry and clear spells promised.

Saturday is going to be much of the same as the mercury will rise to 18C but dip to as low as 5C with long and dry periods over night.

Sunday will be largely dry with sunny spells and temperatures reaching highs of 20C.

As well as this, Met Eireann has one weather warning in place which was issued at 5am on Friday morning.

The status yellow, small craft warning means that "Westerly winds will reach force 6 on all Irish coastal waters this morning".

It's looking good also as we head into the start of next week with the forecaster predicting more dry spells.

They say: "remaining overnight rain in the east soon clearing on Monday morning, followed by a mix of sunshine and showers. A cooler day with top temperatures of 13 to 16 degrees in moderate northwesterly winds, fresh at times near the coast."

"Tuesday is looking mainly dry with sunny spells. Later in the day or in the night rain is expected to arrive from the west with strengthening winds as well."
