Weather in Dublin today: WARNING in place as Met Eireann predicts 22C AND heavy showers in bizarre mixed forecast

Wednesday morning will see the first real evidence that the summer is coming to an end.

The dull start to the morning meant that it was much darker getting up today than previous.

Sunny spells will breakout as the day goes on but these will be met with showers.

Some of these showers may be frequent and heavy as we move into the afternoon but temperatures will still reach highs of 22C despite the rain.

Thursday night's showers will be isolated and long clear spells will develop.

There will be fresh westerly winds with temperatures dropping to as low as 10C.

As well as this, Met Eireann has issued a status yellow, small craft warning.

This means that: "Westerly winds will reach force 6 or higher today on Irish coasts from Roches Point to Slyne Head to Bloody Foreland, extending to all coasts later."
