Weather in Dublin today: WARNING in place as Met Eireann predicts 18C but a change on way for capital

Following a few out breaks of rain, Monday is set to remain dry for the capital.

After a cloudy start, it will become brighter in the afternoon with highest temperatures hitting 16C to 18C.

Monday night will be dry at first but later in the night, there will be further outbreaks of rain.

Temperatures will dip to as low as 12C with moderate southwesterly winds for Dublin.

Looking forward to the rest of the week, Tuesday will be largely dry with patchy rain and high temperatures of 21C.


It looks set to be a bright and blustery day on Wednesday with good sunshine but also passing showers Top temperatures of 14 to 18 degrees with brisk northwest winds.

Met Eireann added: "Thursday will probably be the driest day of the week with spells of sunshine. Highest temperatures of 17 to 20 degrees in moderate westerly breezes. Rain will develop in the northwest on Thursday evening, spreading eastwards across the country overnight."

They also have issued one marine warning for the country.

The status yellow, small craft warning was issued at 5am this morning meaning "west to southwest winds will reach force 6 or higher today on Irish coasts from Loop Head to Erris Head to Fair Head."
