Weather in Dublin on Halloween: Latest Met Eireann updates point to wet night for trick-or-treaters

Bad news for Halloween revellers as persistent rain is set to lash Dublin tonight.

Monsters in capes will be better off as Met Eireann has warned of heavy showers.

A Met Eireann forecaster said: “Today will be cloudy with patchy outbreaks of rain and drizzle through the morning and early afternoon.

“Later in the evening the rain will turn heavier and more persistent.”

But those hoping to stay out late can rest easy as the rain will ease off for some time later in the night.

Night time temperatures will be around 7C to 8C.

Tomorrow will see heavy and showery rain spread throughout the day.

"Temperatures will range between 13C and 15C. Winds will be moderate to fresh southwest to south becoming fresh to strong southwesterly later.

"The outlook starting with Friday night is for further heavy showers to continue through Friday night with accumulations leading to local flooding.

"Lowest temperatures of 2C or 3C in the east and between 5C and 7C in the north and west. Winds will be strong southwesterly, becoming variable by morning."
