Weather forecast: Partly cloudy with warmer temperatures for Chiefs vs. Vikings

The Kansas City Chiefs and Minnesota Vikings are looking at partly cloudy skies and warmer temperatures on Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium.

Snowy weather and cooler temperatures have arrived a little early across the Midwest. Luckily these teams will avoid football weather for at least another week. Forecasts from Weather.com, AccuWeather and the National Weather Service call for mostly sunny skies with a little bit of cloud cover.  It’s a noon kickoff and it’s expected to be around 53 degrees with temperatures steadily rising throughout the afternoon.

There’s no expectation of precipitation during the game, but winds could play a significant factor in this game. Gusts of up to 16 mph are expected to be southwest-facing throughout the game. Harrison Butker missed a long field goal against the Packers in Week 8 with lesser wind gusts, so this is something to keep an eye on.

Be sure to check the Missouri Department of Transportation website for any closures or delays on the way to Arrowhead Stadium. They likely won’t be related to weather, but there is construction that has caused things to slow down on the way to the stadium.
