Weather forecast for 'Super Saturday' in Nottingham as bars and pubs reopen

Revellers are set to descend on Nottingham this weekend as bars and pubs reopen.

Some will be offering bookings while others are expecting walk-in trade. Some will be offering outdoor seating areas or flinging open their beer gardens, while others will only have indoor seating.

But will Nottingham people need their umbrellas or their sun tan lotion in what will be one of the biggest dates in the lockdown calendar?

The Met Office predicts an 'overcast' day for the city on Saturday, July 4.

From 11am, when the pubs and bars reopen, Nottingham can expect to see dark clouds in the sky.

But there will be lighter clouds between 2pm and 4pm before the weather changes back to overcast.

The temperature is expected to be around 20C.

On Sunday, July 5, Nottingham can expect much of the same. It will be cloudy for most of the day.

However, there will be light showers at around 1pm, with the best chance of sunshine around 4pm to 7pm.

Temperatures will again be about 20C.

Street markings have already been put up outside some bars in the city to prepare for the queues and to ensure people remain socially distant.

Police have asked people to book tables in advance to avoid the large queues.
