Weather forecast for Nottingham ahead of first weekend in lockdown

There may not be the typical Friday feeling today as the country approaches its first weekend in lockdown, but the weather might just hold out enough for you to get some fresh air.

Whether you've spent the week teaching your children, sat in your home office or you're one of the key workers still operating as normal, hopefully this weekend will offer you some much-needed downtime.

The Met Office predicts a dry but fairly overcast weekend, although we're not going to get the milder temperatures or sunshine we probably all would love.

Still, with an extra layer on you might be able to get some jobs done around the garden, or stay indoors and tackle that long to-do list around the house.

If all else fails, you can build a fort with the kids, get creative in the kitchen, catch up with loved ones or host a virtual pub quiz.

Temperatures are looking to peak at around 9C on Saturday, and slightly lower on Sunday.

There might be the odd bit of sunshine but mostly its going to be grey skies overhead and fairly breezy.

Weekend weather forecast

Saturday - Cloudy day. 9C / 1C. Less than 10% chance of rain. 16mph winds.

Sunday - Cloudy day with sunny intervals. 6C / 2C. Less than 10% chance of rain. 18mph winds.
