Weather forecast: Expect brisk temperatures for Chiefs vs. Colts

The Kansas City Chiefs and Indianapolis Colts are in for some fall weather on Sunday night at Arrowhead Stadium.

As soon as it hit October, it seems like the temperatures in and around the midwest have begun to plummet. Forecasts from Weather.com, AccuWeather and the National Weather Service show that it is going to be a brisk evening in Kansas City. Temperatures should be below 60 degrees for kickoff, dropping about roughly 2 degrees each quarter.

The skies should be clear. However, there could be some lingering rain showers in the area. Wind shouldn’t be much of a factor with 7 mph winds expected throughout the game. In any event, this seems like a good time to wear layers and prepare for the colder months at Arrowhead Stadium. Four of the next five games will be played in Kansas City for the Chiefs, so expect these types of cooler temperatures moving forward.

Check the Missouri Department of Transportation website for any closures or delays on the way to Arrowhead Stadium. There likely won’t be any related to weather this time, but there is some construction that has caused things to slow down on the way to the stadium.
