Dublin is set for a week of sizzling temperatures as the mercury hits the 20C mark but it's not all good news with plenty of showers forecast.
Met Eireann say we're in for a mix of clouds and sunny spells today with a moderate southerly breeze this afternoon.
Tonight will be mostly dry but there's a chance of rain developing early tomorrow morning.
It's more of the same tomorrow with temperatures getting as high as 20C.
It will be very humid and there's a chance of some rain in the afternoon.
The national outlook for the rest of the week and heading into the weekend is much the same - it will be very warm but bring your brolly if you're heading out because there's a good chance of rainy spells.
Here's what the forecasters reckon is in store for the rest of the week:
Thursday
Rather cloudy and misty in places early on but the day will brighten up well with sunny spells developing and some scattered showers.
Light west to northwest breezes and afternoon temperatures of 17 or 18 degrees in northern areas but 19 to 21C elsewhere.
Mostly dry overnight in lows of 7 to 12C, coolest in northern counties.
Friday
A dry bright start on Friday with sunny spells but thickening cloud will bring rain through western counties during the afternoon heavy in places and elsewhere in the evening or early Friday night.
Highs of 18 to 21C in freshening southerly breezes.
Weekend
Changeable over the weekend, there will be showers at times, but some dry bright periods as well with some sunny spells and afternoon temperatures of 17 to 21C on Saturday in moderate westerly winds, fresher winds on Sunday with highs of 16 to 19C.
