Weather forecast: Cloudy skies for Chiefs vs. Packers on Sunday Night Football

The Kansas City Chiefs and Green Bay Packers are looking at partly cloudy skies for Sunday Night Football at Arrowhead Stadium.

The leaves are finally changing and cooler temperatures have arrived across the midwest. Forecasts from Weather.com, AccuWeather and the National Weather Service call for some cloud cover and cooler temperatures at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday evening. At kickoff, it’s expected to be around or just below 50 degrees with temperatures steadily falling throughout the game.

Despite some cloud cover there won’t be a high chance for rain or any thunderstorms. Winds could be a slight factor with 9 mph expected southwest-facing throughout the game. The sun will be down before kickoff, which makes for the perfect time for the Chiefs to try out their fan-powered pregame light show again. Be sure to download the Chiefs’ mobile app and follow the instructions to participate. This is also a good chance to wear some layers and show off some of your Chiefs gear for the early fall months.

Be sure to check the Missouri Department of Transportation website for any closures or delays on the way to Arrowhead Stadium. They likely won’t be related to weather, but there is some construction that has caused things to slow down on the way to the stadium.
