Weapons stolen from Bristol home - police investigating

Weapons have been stolen from a home in north Bristol.

Police are appealing for information and witnesses following the burglary of a Filton Avenue home.

An Avon and Somerset police spokesperson said "a number of antique weapons, some dating back to the 19 century", were taken.

Entry was forced into an outbuilding some time between 10.30pm on Saturday (October 17) and 5am the next morning.

"Crime scene investigators have examined the scene while officers have also been conducting house to house enquiries," the force spokesperson added.

"We’re keen to hear from antique dealers or collectors of war memorabilia if they hear of any unusual sales of such weapons.

"Anyone with information about the incident, or who witnessed anything suspicious in the Filton Avenue area, is asked to contact 101 and provide the call handler with the reference 5220236183."
