Weapons and drugs seized in South Belfast raid

A man has been arrested after weapons and controlled drugs were found at a property in South Belfast.

The PSNI carried out a warrant on a property in the Edenderry Village area on Tuesday, seizing a quantity of controlled drugs and banned weapons.

One man was arrested at the scene and has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "On August, 18, 2020, officers from B section Lisburn Road carried out a proactive search under warrant at an address in the Edenderry Village area of South Belfast.

"A quantity of controlled drugs and a number of prohibited weapons were seized. One male was arrested at the scene, who was later released on Police bail pending further enquiries."
