Police say they have located a weapon during their investigation into Queensland woman Gabbie Marshall's alleged murder in Tasmania.
Ms Marshall, 23, was allegedly stabbed to death in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Tasmania Police would not specify what type of weapon they had found, nor where it was located.
A section of Main Street in Ulverstone has been off limits to the public for much of the week, but reopened again last night.
Police remain at the house where Ms Marshall died in Main Street, but are expected to finish their investigation at the property later today.
A single floral tribute for Ms Marshall has been left outside the residence.
Colin William Drake, 35, from Ulverstone appeared in court yesterday, charged with the alleged murder.
Mr Drake did not enter a plea and his lawyer did not apply for bail.
Magistrate Tamara Jago remanded him in custody until his next court appearance on July 15, when he will appear by video link.
